A Dear (Deer) Kiss

I don't know about you, but I, for one, have had enough of this cold, cold, winter.  Enough shoveling, enough snow, enough ice, enough bitter cold...enough already!

However, I have some visitors to my yard lately, who bring a little bit of warmth and sunshine to me on a regular basis.  They have warmed their way into my heart, and bring joy to my day.

I call her Mama, and here she is with her baby son.

Kisses for MamaA tender moment between a mother doe and her fawn.

I love that I get to photograph them in such an "up close and personal" manner!  This is a different kind of portrait for me, in a way, but in other ways, not so much.  It shows Mama's personality, and it shows their loving relationship with each other.  This portrait shows you what I find beautiful about them.

And it brings some warmth to my heart on this cold, cold winter day.  I hope it will warm yours, too!
